Sri Lanka steals victory with late comeback against Thailand in the ARFU Junior Cup, fielding six nations. Sri Lankan scored two late tries as they came back from 6-0 deficit. Thailand had the upper hand in the first half with two penalties courtesy of Klin Lakasanasompong of Thailand. However, the momentum shifted towards Sri Lanka as they kept pushing for the try. Their efforts paid off after near-cut chances as Bilal Hassen scored a crucial tie to make it 5-6 before Harsa Weerakkooi converted in what was the turning point of the match to give the Sri Lankans 7-6 lead. Before time ran off, Gayan Weerarathe scored a late try to put the game beyond doubt for a 12-6 victory.
