canterbury Pink rugby Headgear

RUGBY - Ladies rugby in Australia got a makeover last week when the South Darwin and Army women’s sides donned pink headgear for a match to raise money for breast cancer awareness and to raise the profile of ladies’ rugby in the Northern Territory. Sportswear manufacturers Canterbury made the scrum caps especially for the occasion after being contacted by Lisa Hewlett, the South Darwin hooker. The ladies were not content with just wearing the caps for the match and to gain further publicity for their cause they decided to pose topless. Perhaps if other ladies teams followed suit the profile of ladies rugby would be raised in no time.
